Texas Pacific Land (NYSE: TPL) is the largest private landowner in Texas and generates revenues from land and water resource management, oil and gas royalties, grazing and sundry leases.  At year-end 2022, TPL stock accounted for 68% of the Kinetics Paradigm Fund’s net assets under management and constitutes similar percentages in other Horizon Kinetics funds.  In 2023, TPL is down 40% year to date, causing losses to all funds.
