Emily Aikens Project Analyst

Biography

Emily Aikens is a Project Analyst at Miller Shah LLP in the New York office.

Emily graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a certificate in Food, Agriculture, and Climate Change in May 2026. Her undergraduate studies largely focused on animal consciousness and ethics, culminating in a senior thesis that examined representations of dogs in Emily Dickinson’s poetry. Through her student employment at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library and the Yale Law Journal, Emily became heavily involved in research and has published her work in several peer-reviewed academic journals. She also served as the Managing Editor of The Yale Herald, an arts and culture magazine with a staff of over 50 writers.

Personal Interests

Since her family’s golden retriever is sadly several states away, Emily can often be found searching for dogs to pet, especially at the Sean Casey Animal Rescue in Brooklyn. When not volunteering as a dog walker, Emily fills her time by reading, running, and concocting yummy vegetarian recipes. Emily is always up for a game of Catan and encourages you to play with her!
